Students must have at least ten (10) high school credits which include: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, English I, English II, Physical Science, Ecology, or Biology I, World History, and Lifetime Wellness.

Student must reside in Sumner County
Students can choose from a wide-variety of courses. This variety will help in career exploration and might not be available at a traditional high school. In addition, students will be able to focus on degree choices in liberal arts, technology, health, business and more. And since students will also be Vol State students, they will be invited to participate in college clubs and activities.

Important Eligibility Requirements
Completion of Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry
Minimum acceptable ACT placement scores:
- English: 18
- Reading: 19
- Math: 19
- Composite: 19
Tips
- Schedule your ACT test as soon as possible.
- Submit your official ACT scores no later than the April 24, 2026.

Students must have at least ten (10) high school credits which include: Algebra I, Geometry, English I, English II, Physical Science, Ecology, or Biology I, World History, and Lifetime Wellness. (Effective Fall 2026: student must have taken Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II before coming to Middle College.)
Applications are due April 24, 2026, and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment spots are limited.
